Swindon Area Green Party announced on Nov 14th that they will not be standing a candidate in South Swindon in the 2019 General Election.

Howard March, speaking on behalf of Swindon Green Party made the following announcement:

"Swindon Area Green Party are unable to stand a candidate in the the South Swindon seat. Our prospective parliamentary candidate was forced to pull out at the last minute for personal reasons. This left insufficient time to select an appropriate candidate, and we did not wish to parachute in a candidate from another area.

We regret that voters will not have the opportunity to vote for the Green Party on this occasion. We urge our supporters to check the other candidates' positions on policies that are important to them and to vote accordingly, and we thank them for their support in the past."
